Team T.A.L.E.N.T

Trekvoy Art & Literary Endowment for the Naturally Talented (T.A.L.E.N.T) was founded in 2011. For the past ten years, the charity has played a small but significant part in building the Digital Arts and Animation Industry in Barbados.

Our Animation Team has worked on many projects both locally and internationally. Locally, on published and animated projects for Barbados National Oil Company Limited (BNOCL), European Union, HIV/AIDS Commission, CARICOM Regional Organisation of Standards and Quality (CROSQ), and internationally on shows such as Rick and Morty for Cartoon Network and are the primary animation team for the award-winning web series People Watching.

In 2019, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB Lab) took interest in our work, and after several meetings and an internal pitch session, T.A.L.E.N.T was awarded a grant on 1st February 2021.

This four-year project would see the creation of an online platform offering training in 2D and 3D Animation, along with training in other areas of Digital Arts, thus giving birth to the Animated Arts Learning Institute (AALI).

Jessica Reynolds played a pivotal role in helping to create AALI during the project, serving as our Technical and Administrative Coordinator and supporting both the development and implementation of the initiative.
